Superheroic Wardrobe Upgrade

Thursday – 04 August 2016
As a man who enjoys both comic books and suits, I’ve been known to add a little superheroic flair to some of my outfits: I have two sets of Green Lantern cufflinks, along with a pair of S.H.I.E.L.D. cufflinks. I even have a pair of Superman braces. There’s nothing that says you can’t – or shouldn’t – have fun when putting an outfit together.

ZZ Top’s Sharp Dressed Man extols that “Every girl’s crazy ’bout a sharp-dressed man.” There’s also the saying that some people go for a man or woman in uniform. (I would argue that a superhero costume counts as a uniform, in this case.) According to this article from Comic Book Resources, it appears that Fun.com may have just found the perfect blend of both:

Fun.com has teamed with Marvel and DC Comics on a line of licensed business suits and accessories with comic book flair. The otherwise-conservative suits boast colorful linings — an Avengers comics page in one instance, the Joker’s purple “Ha Ha” in another — and ties and handkerchiefs with patterns like the Avengers logo and, again, the Joker’s laugh.

This isn’t Fun.com’s first foray into suits. And, while the above suits and accessories are definitely more traditional and conservative than some of their usual fare…

So, the next time that disaster strikes and a hero is needed, just remember that Fun.com’s new power suit and accessory combinations might just be the only outfit you need to save the day!
